Peter Stark joins his Uncle Graham as a Kitchen Hand, working after school

Peter fulfils Restaurant Manager role for 18 months prior to his OE

Peter joins Graham as a shareholder in the Restaurant

Out catering offered as part of the service delivery of the restaurant

Peter & Jo Stark sole owners of Montana Restaurant

1996

Contract to supply catering services to professional rugby fixtures at Rugby Park Hamilton

2001 

Creation of Montana Catering 2001 Ltd – shareholders Peter & Jo Stark and Dallas Fisher
Catering contract for Waikato Stadium tender won
Montana Restaurant sold, ceasing to trade under the name three months later

2002

Opening of Waikato Stadium with all operations and core catering services
Moved to the Stadium.  Exclusive caterer at the Venue
First All Blacks Test Match at the revamped Waikato Stadium

2005

Catering for the DHL British & Irish Lions Tour
AIGP hosted in Taupo – Montana exclusive corporate catering for all four years of the NZ round

2006

Troy Reid joins Peter & Jo Stark and Dallas Fisher as equal shareholders

2008

V8 Super Cars Championship round held in Hamilton.  Montana exclusive caterers, for five events through to 2012
Rhythm & Vines Festival partnership begins – public bars and VIP catering, cashless environment. 
Worked at all festivals through to 2013

2010

Tender won with Hamilton City Council for catering rights at Seddon Park and Claudelands Events Centre
Sudano purchased outright by Montana – commercial, artisan bakery

2011

Head office for Montana moves to the refurbished Claudelands site
Rugby World Cup hosted at FMG Stadium Waikato - three fixtures hosted

Peter & Jo Stark sell their shares to Dallas & Troy
Montana Catering Auckland Ltd created University of Auckland partnership established – Halls, Retail and Functions,
Flame Tree brand established

Partnership with St Peter’s Cambridge begins

HSBC NZ Sevens Tournament hosted at FMG Stadium Waikato.  Major corporate and retail catering event,within a cashless environment.
Auckland Zoo, Old Government House and MOTAT - Museum of Transport and Technology - partnerships established.
St Peter’s Cambridge catering brand officially dubbed ‘Saint’s
Montana Group wins four awards at the 2018 Westpac Waikato Business Awards including: Supreme Business of the Year Award, Category Awards for Innovation, Business Growth and the Strategy, Planning and Governance Awards. Also finalist in the Service Excellence award.
