Montana Group is now recognised as the largest privately owned caterer in New Zealand, but the group has evolved to be more than that. Through focused knowledge and vast experience, our brands deliver all types of food and event services, partnerships, contracts and experiences.
Montana Food and Events
The group’s corporate and private catering brand. Resident caterer at a range of Auckland and Waikato based venues, plus a number of open venues throughout the upper North Island. Our MFE team specialise in conferences, functions, events and the corporate sector.
Village
Village is Montana Group’s retail events brand, focusing on public food and event delivery at major events. Our specialised team works on all facets of the event experience including: art direction and branding; build logistics with a focus on Greenfield sites; retail, crew and corporate catering; alcohol management and beverage strategy; and user experience design including furniture, theming and VIP spaces.
Flame Tree
University of Auckland owned catering brand, operated in partnership with the Montana Group. They are responsible for the management and operations of all Halls of Residence, (approximately 1,900 students), a range of retail outlets plus internal University functions, events, conferences, and external functions.
Urban Gourmet
Urban Gourmet is the Group’s exclusive and preeminent catering brand operating in the Auckland market. The private and corporate catering business delivers seamless and unique events in a range of premier venues and facilities in Auckland.
Kahurangi
University of Waikato owned catering brand, operated in partnership with the Montana Group. Responsible for the management and operations of all Halls of Residence, (approximately 700 students), a range of retail outlets plus internal University functions/events/conferences and external functions.
Augusta
Our Auckland Grammar School brand, operated in partnership with Montana Group. We manage three retail outlets including a Tuck Shop, a staff and a public cafe as well as Boarding House catering and internal and external functions.
Saint’s
Under a brand designed by St Peter’s students, our team manages and operates the St Peter’s Cambridge boarding houses and catering, also delivering full school and staff lunches each day, plus internal and external functions and events.
BiteLAB
Montana Group is a proud supplier for the Ministry of Education’s Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy School Lunches programme. Commencing in 2021, the programme aims to target food inequality in NZ Schools. Under BiteLAB, we produce over 18,000 lunches daily for school kids in Auckland and Waikato, with full production kitchen facilities in both regions.
